The show opens with a futuristic sequence of a subway train interior with acceleration, braking and doors opening on cue. These were cued to a live orchestra. Law reinforcement officers then enter the train to conduct "brain scans" on its passengers. The scan of the protagonist brings everyone into his "dreamscape". Officers immediately curb the dream and bring everyone back to reality.
